Albanian Election monitoring project by IPWG and AEGEE-Shkoder (IRSH)
In July 2005 National elections will take place in Albania. Since earlier elections have proven that elections are a key moment for democracy, the International Politics Working Group (IPWG) of AEGEE organises together with AEGEE-Shkoder a neutral elections monitoring event. See the "event" section for more info.

Feasability visit AEGEE-Europe to AEGEE in Albania

AEGEE-Tirana members particpated as well. Pictures at www.aegee.org/photo

    AEGEE members visiting Shkoder
At the end of April, just before the Spring Agora in Macedonia, AEGEE Shkoder welcomed 3 AEGEE members with a mission: They made a small case studay trip trough the Western Balkans in order to strenghten the relationships with locals like Shkoder & Tirana. Exchange of informastion about Albanian history, society and obstacles in for Albanians to travle where some subjects discussed.
Theijs van Welij (AEGEE Plzen), Olivier Genkin (AEGEE Sibiu) & Roel Mulder (AEGEE Utrecht) enjoyed their stay and continued their journey with a lot of new impressions.

Ideas for new events discussed at the Spring Agora
-Get AEGEE members to Albania, for cultural exchange and overcome prejudices. Straight after the Agora Manjola (AEGEE Bergamo, Italy) visited Shkoder.
    - Cooperation with AEGEE Tirana, a meeting with them should be arranged, in order to cooperate.
    - Information exchange: What is AEGEE, where does it stand for, & what has it you to offer? In order to find out, there was a proposal done to organise a small training school in Albania by the Netcom and East-West Working Group.
    - Organise a Balkania Regional Meeting. AEGEE Tirana & Shkoder belong to AEGEE's Balkania Region, and in such a Regional Meeting Workshops on "what is AEGEE", Human Resources, Public relations, Project Management, and other subjects are given. A meeting includes AEGEE Parties and the famous European Night! A regional meeting in Albania would make AEGEE more accesable for Albanian students, but the next one will be held in Bulgaria.
    - Become a Twin Antenna, an East-West Working Group initiative: let a big, well working antenna support a small one.
    - Organise a case study trip Albania (& Montenegro?) togehter with the East West Working Group. In Podgorica a contact or cantact antenna will established in November, and our area should be discoverd by European Students!
    - Exchange: Vey famous in AEGEE. let a few people from an antenna visit another one v.v. So lets start to find a partner antenna for the coming year!
